Code of Conduct According to PNMC

(Discipline Policy & Procedure)

I. Responsibility for Discipline

  • Head of the institute (Principal/Dean)
  • Head of the Institute and Warden in Hostel
  • Chief Nursing Superintendent/Head Nurse in Clinical areas

II. Disciplinary Action Procedures

  1. Written Complaint against the candidate/student
  2. Written explanation from the student
  3. Disciplinary Committee will sit and decide whether it is major/minor offense.
i. For Minor Offense:
  • Warning letters can be issued.
  • No improvement after third letter then the case will be treated as major infractions.
List of Minor Offenses:
  • Punctuality and absenteeism (in class and Clinical)
  • Breaking College and hostel rules
  • Damage college property and (misuse)
  • Repeated failures (Follow examination policy)
  • Skipping classes without information
  • Late submission of assignments
  • Failure in Clinical of communication
  • Unacceptable dressing
ii. For Major Offense:
  • Show Cause Notice
  • Semester back
  • Termination from the program and enrollment should be cancelled
List of Major Offenses:
  • Assault (Verbal & physical abuse to staff, Faculty, students and other staff)
  • Theft
  • Medication error
  • Addiction
  • Plagiarism
  • Cheating in exam
  • Malpractice
  • Strike in college
  • Political involvements
  • Sexual abuse
  • Unethical attitude
  • Suicide attempt
  • Weapons in the campus
  • Poor academic performance throughout year
  • Substance abuse
